EMPOWERING REFUGEE WOMEN
Partnership with UN Women and UCNUR.
Since 2020, we have been working with UNHCR and UN Women as technical advisors for the
diversity classes of the Empowering Refugee Women project. This program focuses on placing
women in refugee situations from Venezuela into the workforce.
The Diversity classes in this program cater to women with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and/or
special needs, as well as those aged 50 and above, and LGBTQIAP+ individuals from shelters in the
city of Boa Vista (RR).
In this project, we empower women in refugee situations by assisting in the reintegration of over 60
women into the workforce. We achieve this by providing training, creating their biopsychosocial
profiles, and supporting them in job interviews:
- On-site visits to shelters in Boa Vista (RR)
- Participant selection
- Interviews with selected women
- Women's training sessions
- - Defining the skill profile of these women

We also work on sensitizing and training managers and colleagues in companies that will be working
with these new employees.
